High Angle

The AMS wishes to acknowledge and thank Dion Tromp from High Angle Rescue for his kind and generous support over the years. From the inception of the Mountain Rescue programme he has offered his time as a hoist operator and mountain rescuer, as well as developing specific safety and rescue equipment for the helicopter entirely at his own cost. His expertise and advice have been invaluable in developing the mature mountain rescue programme that we now have in Cape Town. Thank you again for your commitment and dedication and we look forward working with you in the future.

2011 donation

AMS would like to thank Dion Tromp from High Angle for his generous donation of specialist mountain rescue equipment specifically designed and manufactured for the helicopter rescue programme. Dion's donation will allow AMS and Department of Health EMS to implement the suggested changes to our mountain rescue procedures which emerged from the Rescue Week held in April with Oliver Kreuzer from Air Zermatt. In addition to utilising this equipment for our already established mountain rescue program, it will also be used to further evaluated and develop our Swift Water and Flooding rescue techniques with Metro EMS. AMS and PGWC are certainly very privileged to have Dion's expertise and support.
