A 32-YEAR-OLD tourist is recovering in hospital after her bicycle crashed on Franschhoek Pass yesterday. The woman apparently had a bicycle accident on the pass at about 430pm, but ER24 spokesman Tristan Wadeley said she could not recall the details of the crash when she was rescued.
When the paramedics arrived, they treated her injuries before a Red Cross Air Mercy Services helicopter (Red Cross AMS) airlifted her to nearby Paarl Medi-Clinic. The clinic could not confirm the woman's name yesterday.
The cyclist suffered multiple "soft tissue" injuries on her body and a head injury, Wadeley said. -
