Earlier today (Friday 11 August) the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service (AMS) and Metro Emergency Medical Service (PAWC) staged a dramatic simulated helicopter rescue at the AMS Cape Town base, to focus attention on the national ‘Give them Wings’ campaign.

Cape Town, Oudtshoorn, Durban, Richard's Bay and Kimberley that provide an air ambulance network, rural health outreach and emergency rescue service to metropolitan areas and remote rural communities.

aero-medical, rescue and healthcare
support network to all communities in
Southern Africa.
In accordance with the principles and objectives of the International Red Cross and
Red Crescent Movement, and in support of the national health systems, to contribute to the improvement in the quality of life of all communities through the facilitation of access to equitable and effective healthcare and the provision of aero-medical and other associated humanitarian services.
