it is not just a job - it's about helping improve
lives of so many people across SA.
Most memorable
moment
Difficult
to single one out - there have been so many. One
that does come to mind: In the early days of Northern
Cape Flying Doctor Service, experiencing the gratitude
of the people who had been helped by the clinics.
Looking after the CEO and COO, organizing their diaries, appointments, travel arrangements, correspondence. As well as the duties of Human Resource Administrator
Doing something that is unique. There is no existing blueprint for what we do.
Most memorable
moment
I was present when a married couple, who had both been blind for many years, saw each other for the first time since their much younger days - after taking off their eye patches.
Oversee the operational management of both the fixed and the rotor wing air ambulances as well as the rotor wing rescue service.

Worked as Flight Paramedic for Medical Rescue International and Traumalink
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Supporting a great team and being part of an organisation which delivers needed services to so many people irrespective of background.
Most memorable moment
I will never forget my first EMS flight of RMR during the outreach tour. We had just left Picketberg when the call came in of a multiple polytrauma patient accident.
Compiling a study on the impact of our programmes in our service areas.

in optometry and public health and has just completed
a study on the obstacles to implementation of the government's
new antiretroviral programme with the School of Public
Health at the University of the Western Cape .
